2025 High Risk Emergency Medicine Hawaii attendees

Over the last quarter century, our High Risk Emergency Medicine Hawaii (HREM) CME conference has brought together the leading experts in the field of emergency medicine and nearly 8,000 attendees with the goal of sharing best practices, avoiding preventable errors, and improving care for patients in the emergency and urgent care settings. Our 25th-annual HREM Hawaii returned to The Kahala Hotel & Resort in Honolulu from March 9 through 13, 2025, bringing together 185 health care professionals for five days of cutting-edge education, case-based discussions, and networking in paradise.

The 2025 program was among our most robust yet. Led by Keynote Speaker Dr. Amal Mattu and Featured Speaker Dr. Michael Wysession, it included more than 15 experts whose talks canvassed a broad spectrum of topics in emergency care, ranging from medicolegal review to pediatric emergency medicine. Through both our speaker Q&As and impromptu floor discussions between presentations, HREM Hawaii fostered the camaraderie it’s been known for over the past 25 years — creating an environment where critical insights were shared freely, empowering attendees to navigate high-stakes scenarios with clarity and confidence.

Meet Our 2025 Speakers

This milestone year also marked the debut of HREM Hawaii’s remote learning option. Hosted via Zoom, the livestream enabled the UCSF Department of Emergency Medicine to deliver the expertise of HREM Hawaii to attendees anywhere in the world for the first time in conference history. The hybrid format ensured that whether in person or online, participants had access to the dynamic sessions, real-time Q&As, and the chance to engage with our speakers, even from miles away.

Thank you to all who joined us for this landmark year! We hope to see you in Honolulu again for HREM Hawaii 2026, returning to The Kahala Hotel & Resort from March 10 through 14, 2026.
